CRISPY CHICKEN STRIPS

Here’s a classic recipe for Crispy Chicken Strips crunchy on the outside, juicy and tender inside. Perfect for dipping and super easy to make!

🍗 CRISPY CHICKEN STRIPS

Serves: 4

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Cook Time: 15–20 minutes


Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) chicken breasts, cut into strips

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (Panko for extra crunch)

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • Cooking oil for frying (vegetable or canola oil)


Instructions:

  1. Prepare Breading Stations:

    • Place flour in a shallow bowl.

    • Beat eggs in another bowl.

    • In a third bowl, mix breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

  2. Bread the Chicken:

    • Dip each chicken strip into flour, shaking off excess.

    • Then dip into beaten eggs.

    • Finally, coat evenly with the seasoned breadcrumb mixture.

  3. Heat Oil:

    • Pour oil into a large skillet to about 1/2-inch depth and heat over medium-high heat until hot (about 350°F or when a breadcrumb dropped in sizzles).

  4. Fry Chicken Strips:

    • Fry the chicken strips in batches without overcrowding, about 3–4 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through (internal temp 165°F).

    • Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

  5. Serve:
    Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces like ranch, honey mustard, or BBQ sauce.


Tips:

  • For a healthier option, bake at 425°F for 15–20 minutes, flipping halfway.

  • Add some cayenne pepper or chili powder to breadcrumbs for a spicy kick.

  • Use buttermilk instead of eggs for extra tender chicken.
