Golden Vanilla Bundt Cake

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups (360g) all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp baking soda

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1 cup (227g) unsalted butter, softened

  • 2 cups (400g) granulated sugar

  • 4 large eggs

  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract

  • 1 cup (240ml) whole milk

  • 1/2 cup (120ml) sour cream or plain Greek yogurt


Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch bundt pan.

  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

  3. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar together with an electric mixer until light and fluffy (about 3-4 minutes).

  4. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  5. Alternately add the dry ingredients and the milk, starting and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix each addition just until combined.

  6. Fold in the sour cream or yogurt gently.

  7. Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and smooth the top.

  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  9. Let the cake cool in the pan for about 15 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack to cool completely.


Optional: Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with a vanilla glaze.
