Fried Cabbage with Shrimp, Sausage & Bacon

Ingredients:

  • 4 slices bacon, chopped

  • 8 oz smoked sausage (kielbasa or andouille), sliced

  • 1 lb medium shrimp, peeled & deveined

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 small green bell pepper, diced (optional)

  • 1 small head green cabbage, shredded (~6 cups)

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • ½ tsp salt (adjust to taste)

  • ½ tsp dried thyme

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tbsp hot sauce (optional)

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • Green onions, sliced (for garnish)
