Mops are one of the most used cleaning tools in our homes. We rely on them daily to remove dirt, dust, and stains, often with the help of chemical cleaners. But if the mop itself isn’t clean, it spreads germs and bacteria instead of removing them.
To truly disinfect your floors, you need to wash your mop after every use. Throwing away a mop at the first sign of dirt is unnecessary. Unless it is completely worn out, you can restore it with natural, effective home remedies.
When to Wash and When to Replace Your Mop
-
Wash and reuse: If the mop is still new or in good condition, clean it thoroughly using natural methods.
-
Replace: Only when it is irreversibly damaged or worn out, similar to old rags.
