DIY Fenugreek Oil for Hair Growth – Get Thick Hair

Did you know that besides using it for culinary purposes, fenugreek can also boost hair growth? These tiny seeds have long been used to treat many ailments with their medicinal properties. Popularly known as methi in Hindi, it has all the essential nutrients that promote hair growth. It is also believed to treat other hair issues like dandruff, hair thinning, and hair fall. There are many ways to use fenugreek for hair care; However, today we will focus on fenugreek oil. Fenugreek oil has been gaining popularity as a hair growth boosting tonic. In this article, we talk about how fenugreek can aid hair growth and how to prepare homemade fenugreek oil. Let’s take a look!How to make Fenugreek Oil at home?
Method 1 – Fenugreek Infused Oil

You will need:
2 cups of Coconut oil/ Olive oil/ Almond oil
4 tablespoons of Fenugreek Seeds
Lavender essential oil (optional)
Glass Jar
How to make:
Take a glass jar and pour in fenugreek seeds. Pour in your favorite oil (I like to use coconut oil since it suits my hair and scalp). Add lavender essential oil.
Next, seal the jar and leave the oil to infuse at room temperature for about 4 – 5 weeks.
Shake the jar at least once daily so that the mixture steeps evenly. The oil may become a little darker the longer you infuse.
If you want your fenugreek oil that is infused by the sun, keep the jar in direct sunlight for 2-3 weeks. You need to shake the jar daily.
After a given time, open your jar, strain the oil, and pour it into a clean air-tight jar. Store this fenugreek oil in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.
2. Slow cook Fenugreek Oil

You will need:
2 cups of Coconut oil/ Olive oil/ Almond oil
4 tablespoons of Fenugreek Seeds
Lavender essential oil (optional)
How to make:
Take a ladle, pour in coconut oil/olive oil or almond oil. Heat the oil using a double boiler method.
Add fenugreek seeds to the oil. If you want to make strong fenugreek oil, lightly grind the seeds, and add.
Slow cook the fenugreek oil for about 25 – 30 minutes.
Turn off the flame after 30 minutes, you will notice the oil turned slightly golden.
Strain the fenugreek oil, add lavender oil and store it in an air-tight glass jar for up to 1 month.
