Oklahoma Nut Candy
A traditional, no-fuss candy made with sugar, marshmallows, and lots of pecans. It’s creamy, crunchy, and melts in your mouth.

Ingredients
2 cups granulated sugar

1 cup evaporated milk

1 tablespoon unsalted butter

2 ½ cups mini marshmallows

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 to 2 ½ cups chopped pecans (or mixed nuts)

Instructions
1. Prepare Your Pan
Line an 8×8-inch or 9×9-inch pan with parchment paper or lightly butter it. Set aside.

2. Cook the Base
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the sugar, evaporated milk, and butter.
Stir constantly until the mixture comes to a boil.
Once boiling, continue cooking for 6–8 minutes, stirring frequently so it doesn’t scorch.

3. Add Marshmallows and Vanilla
Remove from heat and immediately stir in the marshmallows and vanilla.
Stir quickly until the marshmallows are completely melted and the mixture is smooth.

4. Add Nuts
Stir in the chopped pecans (or your choice of nuts) until evenly mixed.

5. Pour and Set
Quickly pour the mixture into your prepared pan. Smooth it out with a spatula.
Let it cool at room temperature for about 1–2 hours, or until set.
Cut into small squares to serve.

Tips
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.

You can toast the nuts for extra flavor.

This candy is very sweet, so small squares go a long way.

Let me know if you want a version with chocolate, coconut, or a microwave shortcut!
