Dorito Taco Salad
This playful take on taco salad mixes classic flavors with the bold crunch of Doritos. Perfect for busy weeknights or sharing at gatherings, it’s a deliciously satisfying dish that’s as easy to make as it is to enjoy.

🧾 Ingredients
For the Salad:
Ingredient Quantity
Ground beef 1 pound
Taco seasoning 1 packet
Water ¼ cup
Romaine lettuce, chopped 1 head
Cherry tomatoes, halved 2 cups
Shredded Cheddar cheese 1 cup
Red onion, diced ½ cup
Black beans, rinsed and drained 1 can (15 oz)
Corn (fresh, canned, or frozen) 1 cup
Nacho cheese Doritos, crushed 2 cups
For the Dressing:
Ingredient Quantity
Catalina or Ranch dressing 1 cup
Fresh lime juice (optional) Juice of 1 lime
👨‍🍳 Instructions
1. Cook the Beef:
Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat, breaking it apart as it cooks. Once fully cooked, drain any extra grease. Add the taco seasoning and ¼ cup of water, stirring to coat the meat evenly. Simmer for a few minutes, then remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

2. Assemble the Salad:
In a large bowl, mix together the chopped lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cheese, red onion, black beans, and corn. Toss until everything is evenly combined.

3. Add Meat and Chips:
Add the seasoned beef to the salad mixture and stir to incorporate. Just before serving, mix in the crushed Doritos for that signature crunch.

4. Dress It Up:
Drizzle the salad with Catalina or ranch dressing and gently toss until well coated. For a fresh citrusy kick, squeeze in some lime juice.

5. Serve and Enjoy:
Serve right away so the chips stay crispy and the flavors fresh. Dig in and enjoy the perfect balance of savory, crunchy, and tangy!
