‘Amish Firepit Feast’ is what my family calls this dish—it’s sweet, smoky, and fall-apart tender, just the way we love it!

Continued on next page…
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup of your favorite BBQ sauce
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of your slow cooker.
In a bowl, mix together the BBQ sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken breasts, making sure they are well coated.
Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks and mix it well with the sauce in the slow cooker.
Serve hot with your choice of sides.

Variations & Tips
For a spicier version, add a teaspoon of crushed red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce to the sauce mixture. If you prefer a smoky flavor, try using a smoked BBQ sauce or adding a teaspoon of liquid smoke. For picky eaters, you can serve the shredded chicken on slider buns with a slice of cheese for a fun BBQ chicken sandwich. You can also add some chopped onions or bell peppers to the slow cooker for extra flavor and texture.
