Ingredients for the apple-vanilla fondant cake
The basic list
3 small, red, melting apples (Gala or Golden type)
3 large eggs
75 g melted butter
75 ml of milk
150 g of flour
75 g of sugar (adjust according to the acidity of the apples)
⅓ sachet of baking powder
1 vanilla pod (seeds scraped)
Variants and Substitutions
Lighter version : Replace half the butter with unsweetened applesauce.
Lactose-free : use almond or oat milk.
Gluten-free : rice flour + corn starch.
Gourmet note : add orange zest or a little cinnamon.
