Banana Pecan Cake with Vanilla Glaze

Step 1: Preheat & Prep

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8×8-inch or 9-inch round cake pan.

Step 2: Mix Wet Ingredients

In a large bowl, mash bananas until smooth. Add eggs, sugar, and oil, whisking until combined.

Step 3: Combine Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

Step 4: Make the Batter

Fold the dry mixture into the banana mixture until just combined. Stir in chopped pecans.

Step 5: Bake

Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let the cake cool completely.

Step 6: Prepare the Glaze

In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth and pourable.

Step 7: Finish & Serve

Drizzle glaze over the cooled cake, slice, and enjoy.
