Biscuits and Sausage Gravy Breakfast Pizza
Ingredients:
- 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough
- 1/2 pound breakfast sausage
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives (optional)
Instructions:
- Preheat oven: Set to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare crust: Roll out the biscuit dough into a large circle to fit your pizza pan or baking sheet. Press it down to form the crust
- Cook sausage: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Make gravy: Using the same skillet, stir flour into the sausage drippings and cook for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk and cook until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
- Assemble pizza: Spread the gravy over the biscuit crust. Add the cooked sausage and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Bake: Place in the oven and bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the crust is golden brown.
- Garnish & serve: Sprinkle with chopped chives if desired. Slice and enjoy!
