Biscuits and Sausage Gravy Breakfast Pizza

Ingredients:

  • 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 1/2 pound breakfast sausage
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven: Set to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare crust: Roll out the biscuit dough into a large circle to fit your pizza pan or baking sheet. Press it down to form the crust
  3. Cook sausage: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned. Remove and set aside.
  4. Make gravy: Using the same skillet, stir flour into the sausage drippings and cook for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk and cook until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Assemble pizza: Spread the gravy over the biscuit crust. Add the cooked sausage and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Bake: Place in the oven and bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the crust is golden brown.
  7. Garnish & serve: Sprinkle with chopped chives if desired. Slice and enjoy!
