Cheesy Hamburger Potato Casserole

Ingredients:

1 lb (450g) ground beef
5 medium potatoes (peeled and sliced thin)
1 small onion (chopped)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
2 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of cheddar soup (or cheddar cheese soup
1 cup milk
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tsp paprika
1 tbsp olive oil (optional)
Fresh parsley or green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 8×12-inch casserole dish or baking dish.
Prepare the Ground Beef:

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat (optional, for extra flavor). Add the chopped onions and sauté until they are translucent (about 3-4 minutes).
Add the garlic and cook for another minute.
Add the ground beef and cook until it’s browned. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Drain any excess fat.
Prepare the Potatoes:

Peel and slice the potatoes thinly (about 1/8-inch thick slices). You can use a mandolin or knife for uniform slices.
Mix the Sauces:

In a medium bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, cream of cheddar soup, and milk. Stir until smooth.
