How to Make It
1️⃣ Preheat & Prep
- Heat oven to 350°F (175°C)
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish
2️⃣ Cook Beef & Onion
- Sauté ground beef and diced onion until browned
3️⃣ Layer the Dish
- Layer ¼-inch potato slices across the bottom
- Sprinkle with salt and pepper
- Add ⅓ of meat → ⅓ of cheese
- Repeat for 3 total layers, ending with cheese on top
4️⃣ Mix Sauce & Pour
- Combine cheddar soup, milk, and evaporated milk
- Pour evenly over casserole
5️⃣ Bake Covered
- Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour
- Remove foil and bake 15 more mins to crisp the top
- (Bake longer if potatoes are thicker)
6️⃣ Serve
- Let cool slightly
- Slice and serve warm as a full meal
