Instructions
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Arrange the Buns
Place the hot dog buns in a single layer in the prepared dish, open side up.
Add the Hot Dogs
Place one beef hot dog into each bun.
Warm the Chili
Heat the chili in a saucepan over medium heat until hot.
Top with Chili
Spoon the warm chili evenly over the hot dogs and buns.
Add Cheese and Extras
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top. Add diced onions and jalapeños if using.
Bake Covered
Cover the dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
Finish Baking
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Cool Slightly
Let the bake rest for a few minutes before serving.
Serve
Serve warm with ketchup and mustard on the side or drizzled on top. Garnish with fresh parsley or green onions for a bright finish.
