CHILI CHEESE DOG BAKE
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Arrange the hot dog buns in a single layer in the prepared baking dish, with the cut sides facing up.
- Place a hot dog into each bun, nestling it inside.
- In a medium saucepan, heat the chili over medium heat until heated through.
- Pour the heated chili over the hot dogs, evenly distributing it across the dish.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the chili, covering the hot dogs and chili completely.
- If desired, scatter diced onions and pickled jalapeños over the cheese for added flavor and texture.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
- Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove the Chili Cheese Dog Bake from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.
- Serve the chili cheese dogs hot, accompanied by ketchup and mustard for dipping or drizzling.
- Garnish with chopped fresh parsley or green onions, if desired, for a pop of freshness.
