Cleaning the Moka Pot: The Hidden Spots Where Coffee Residues Accumulate

How to clean your moka pot properly

Daily cleaning

After each use, disassemble the moka pot and rinse it with warm water.
Do not use detergents, which could leave chemical residues.

Weekly deep cleaning

Soak the filter and gasket in hot water and bicarbonate of soda for 30 minutes.
Clean the tank with water and vinegar to remove limescale.

Complete drying

Dry each component with a clean cloth to prevent the formation of mold or bad odors.

Extra tips

Replace the gasket every 6-12 months to ensure perfect functioning.
Avoid leaving coffee in the moka pot for hours: dried residues are more difficult to remove.
Never put the moka pot in the dishwasher, to avoid damaging the materials.
