Step 3: Create the Sauce
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent (about 3–5 minutes).
- Stir in the minced garlic, grated ginger, cumin, garam masala, paprika, and cayenne pepper (if using). Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
- Pour in the drained diced tomatoes and simmer for 5 minutes, breaking them down slightly with a spoon.
- Gradually whisk in the heavy cream until smooth. Simmer for another 3–5 minutes, or until the sauce thickens slightly.
