Crispy-Soft Apples

Step 1: Preparing the Ingredients
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Prepare the apples: Wash, peel, and thinly slice the apples.

Egg and sugar mixture: In a large bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar and vanilla sugar until the mixture turns pale.
Adding the yogurt: Gradually stir the yogurt into the egg and sugar mixture.
Adding the flour and baking powder: Add the previously sifted flour with the baking powder and mix well.
Melted butter and rum: Melt the butter, then stir it into the mixture. Add the rum and a pinch of salt, and mix until a smooth dough is formed.
Step 3: Adding the Apples
Adding the apples: Gently fold the apple slices into the dough.
Step 4: Baking
Pour into the pan: Pour the mixture into a buttered and floured pan.
Bake: Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, until the top is golden brown and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
Cooling: Let cool before removing from the pan.

Alcohol-free variation: Replace the rum with apple juice for a non-alcoholic version.
Adding cinnamon: For an extra touch of flavor, add a teaspoon of cinnamon to the batter.
