Crock Pot Pierogi Casserole with Kielbasa

This creamy, cheesy pierogi casserole is the ultimate comfort food! Tender pierogies, smoky kielbasa, and a rich cheese sauce cook together effortlessly in the slow cooker for a hearty, no-fuss meal.

Ingredients

  • 3 (16 oz) boxes Mrs. T’s Cheddar Pierogies (frozen)

  • 1 lb kielbasa sausage, sliced into rounds

  • 4 cups chicken broth

  • 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese, cubed

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or chives (for garnish)

(Optional add-ins: sautéed onions, spinach, mushrooms, or a crispy breadcrumb topping.)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Cheese Sauce

In a saucepan over medium heat, warm the chicken broth. Whisk in the cream cheesecheddar cheesegarlic powderonion powder, and black pepper until smooth and fully combined.

2. Layer the Casserole

In a 6-quart slow cooker, layer in this order:

  • A scoop of cheese sauce to coat the bottom.

  • A single layer of frozen pierogies (no need to thaw).

  • A layer of sliced kielbasa.

  • Another drizzle of cheese sauce.

Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a generous layer of sauce on top.

3. Slow Cook

  • Cover and cook on:

    • LOW for 4–5 hours (for tender pierogies)

    • HIGH for 2–3 hours (for faster cooking)

The casserole is done when the pierogies are soft and the sauce is bubbly.
