Crockpot BBQ Chicken Thighs

Instructions

 

1. Mix the Seasoning

In a small bowl, combine smoked paprika, brown sugar, dry mustard, onion powder, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, and salt.

2. Season the Chicken

Place chicken thighs in the slow cooker. Sprinkle the spice blend evenly over both sides.

3. Add BBQ Sauce

Brush 1 cup of BBQ sauce over the seasoned chicken.

4. Cook Low and Slow

Cover and cook:

  • Low: 3–4 hours

  • High: 2 hours
    Cook until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.

5. Broil for Caramelization (Optional)

  1. Preheat your broiler to high and line a baking sheet with foil.

  2. Brush the remaining ½ cup BBQ sauce over the chicken.

  3. Broil 3–5 minutes until caramelized, watching closely to prevent burning.

6. Serve
