Fluffy Christmas Cottage Cheese Sweet Rolls

Soft, pillowy sweet rolls filled with creamy cottage cheese—perfect for Christmas or any special occasion. The enriched yeast dough creates an airy texture, while the cottage cheese filling adds subtle sweetness and richness.


Ingredients

Yeast Mixture:

  • 200 ml (3/4 cup + 1 tbsp) warm water

  • 200 ml (3/4 cup + 1 tbsp) warm milk

  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar

  • 8 g (1 packet) active dry yeast

Dough:

  • 2 large eggs

  • 150 ml (2/3 cup) vegetable oil

  • 750 g (6 cups) all-purpose flour, divided (500 g + 250 g)

  • 1 tsp salt

  • Additional flour for dusting

  • Extra vegetable oil for greasing

Cottage Cheese Filling:

  • 400 g (14 oz) cottage cheese

  • 2 tbsp ricotta cheese

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped

Egg Wash:

  • 1 egg yolk

  • 2 tsp milk
