👩🍳 Instructions
1. Make the Dough
- Stir sugar into warm milk, add yeast. Let foam 5–10 min.
- Whisk in egg + ¼ cup milk.
- Mix flour + salt, pour in wet mixture.
- Knead 8–10 min. Add butter and knead 5–7 more min.
- Cover and let rise 1 hour until doubled.
2. Shape the Dough
- Divide into 3 parts. Roll each into a rectangle, roll tightly into a log.
- Cut each log into 4–5 pieces.
- Place cut-side up in greased pan or muffin tray.
3. Second Rise + Bake
- Cover and let rise 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Brush with egg wash (1 egg + 1 tbsp water).
- Bake 25–30 min until golden and cooked through.
4. Glaze
- Mix butter + milk, brush over warm bread for soft shine.
🍞 Tips
- Warm milk = better yeast activation
- Knead well for fluffiness
- Measure ingredients with a kitchen scale
- Try brushing warm bread with condensed milk for extra sweetness
