FRIED BOLOGNA SANDWICH

Fried Bologna Sandwich is a classic comfort food simple, satisfying, and packed with nostalgia. Here’s how you can make one:


🍳 Fried Bologna Sandwich Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2–3 slices of bologna (thick-cut preferred)

  • 2 slices of bread (white, rye, or your favorite)

  • 1–2 slices of American cheese (or cheddar, optional)

  • 1–2 tsp butter or mayo (for toasting)

  • Optional toppings:

    • Mustard

    • Mayo

    • Pickles

    • Lettuce

    • Tomato

    • Fried egg


Instructions:

  1. Prepare the bologna:

    • Make a small slit (like a Pac-Man mouth) on the edges of each bologna slice to prevent curling when frying.

  2. Fry the bologna:

    • Heat a skillet over medium heat.

    • Add the bologna slices and fry for 2–3 minutes per side until the edges are browned and slightly crispy.

  3. Toast the bread:

    • Option 1: Spread butter or mayo on the outside of the bread slices and toast them in the same skillet until golden.

    • Option 2: Use a toaster and then spread condiments inside.

  4. Assemble:

    • Place cheese on hot bologna to melt slightly.

    • Stack the fried bologna and cheese on one slice of bread.

    • Add mustard, mayo, pickles, or anything else you like.

    • Top with the second slice of bread.
