Fried Cream Corn
Cook the Bacon
In a cast iron or heavy skillet over medium to medium-high heat, brown the bacon until crisp. Remove and set aside.
Prepare the Corn Mixture
While the bacon cooks, mix the corn, salt, black pepper, sugar, and flour in a large bowl. Stir well to combine.
Cook the Corn
Pour the corn mixture into the bacon-drippings skillet. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
Add Cream and Butter
After about 15 minutes, add the butter and half-and-half. Stir to combine and continue cooking for a few more minutes.
Add Bacon and Finish
Return the cooked bacon to the skillet. Stir and cook for another 5 minutes until the bacon is heated through.
Serve Warm
Serve hot alongside your favorite meat, green vegetable, and fresh bread. Enjoy!

Tips
Fresh summer corn is ideal for this recipe, but frozen corn can work in a pinch.
