Grandma’s Cinnamon Sugar Sweet Bread (Tastes Like a

1. Preheat and Prepare

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.

2. Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together:

  • Flour

  • Sugar

  • Baking powder

  • Baking soda

  • Salt

  • Cinnamon

3. Mix Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, combine:

  • Melted butter

  • Eggs

  • Milk or buttermilk

  • Vanilla extract

Stir until smooth.

4. Combine Wet and Dry

  • Slowly add wet ingredients to the dry ingredients.

  • Mix gently just until combined. Batter should be slightly lumpy.

5. Bake

  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.

  • Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  • If the top browns too quickly, tent with foil in the last 10–15 minutes.

6. Add Topping

  • While the bread is still warm, brush with melted butter.

  • Mix sugar and cinnamon together and sprinkle generously over the top.

7. Cool and Serve

  • Let the bread cool in the pan for 10–15 minutes.

  • Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

  • Slice and enjoy warm or at room temperature!
