Combine Ingredients
In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, combine whole milk and sugar. -
Heat the Mixture
Simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally. -
Reduce and Thicken
Lower heat and cook for 1–1.5 hours, stirring frequently, until reduced by half and thickened. -
Add Vanilla
Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. -
Cool and Store
Let cool completely, then transfer to an airtight container.
Refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
