I believed my relatives’ cherished dish was lost to time, but fortunately, I rediscovered it, and it’s even more delicious than I recall.

In a large bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, chopped red onion, and jalapeños.
Add the chopped cilantro and minced garlic to the bowl.
Squeeze the lime juice over the mixture and add the apple cider vinegar.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Mix everything together until well combined.
Transfer the salsa to a glass jar or serving bowl.
Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
Serve chilled with your favorite sides.

Variations & Tips
For a milder salsa, reduce the number of jalapeños or remove them entirely. You can also substitute the jalapeños with milder peppers like bell peppers. If you prefer a smoky flavor, try adding a chipotle pepper in adobo sauce. For a sweeter twist, add a diced mango or pineapple. If you have picky eaters, consider blending the salsa for a smoother texture. Feel free to experiment with different herbs, such as parsley or basil, for a unique flavor profile.
