I bought Cod in ALDI and Tried Cod in Air Fryer, Guys!! I think I finally got this recipe down to perfection!
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Preheat the Air Fryer
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes. This ensures the cod starts cooking immediately for a crispy exterior.
Step 2: Prepare the Cod
Pat the cod fillets dry with paper towels—this step is crucial for achieving crispiness.
Brush both sides of the fillets lightly with olive oil or melted butter.
In a small bowl, mix together the garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and lemon zest.
Sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over both sides of the cod fillets, pressing gently to adhere.
Step 3: Air Fry the Cod
Place the seasoned cod fillets in the air fryer basket in a single layer, leaving space between each piece for proper airflow. (Work in batches if needed.)
Lightly spritz the tops of the fillets with cooking spray or brush with a little more oil for extra crispiness.
Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 8–10 minutes , flipping halfway through, or until the cod flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) .
