If you need a foolprool way to prepare salmon, this is it!

Ingredients
– 4 (6 oz) salmon fillets, skin on
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– 2 tablespoons blackened seasoning (store-bought or homemade)
– 1 lemon, for garnish
– Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish (optional)
Directions
1. Preheat your oven to a cozy 400 degrees F. This is just right for getting that salmon cooked through without drying it out.
2. While the oven comes to temperature, let’s prepare those handsome salmon fillets. Give them a nice little rub down with the olive oil. This not only helps the seasoning stick but ensures your salmon is as moist as a morning dew.
3. Coat each fillet evenly with the blackened seasoning. Don’t be shy now; we’re aiming for a crust that speaks of flavor and spice.
4. Place the seasoned salmon fillets skin-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Easier cleanup means more time to enjoy the after-dinner twilight.
5. Slide that baking sheet into the oven and let the salmon bake for about 12-15 minutes. What we’re looking for is a flaky, tender interior and a savory, crispy exterior.
6. Once done to your liking, remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for a spell—just a minute or two.
7. Serve each fillet with a wedge of lemon and a special sprinkle of fresh parsley if you’ve got it growing in your garden.
