Instructions

Prep Dry Mix

Line a baking sheet with parchment.

In a large bowl, combine Chex, Rice Krispies, Fritos, and cashews.

Make Caramel

In a saucepan, combine butter, sugar, corn syrup, cinnamon, chili powder, cayenne, and salt.

Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.

Simmer 2–3 minutes.

Remove from heat, stir in baking soda (it will fizz).

Coat & Cool

Pour hot caramel over cereal mixture, tossing to coat evenly.

Spread on prepared sheet in a single layer.

Add sprinkles if desired.

Cool completely, at least 1 hour.

Break & Store
-
Break into bite-sized pieces.
-
Store in an airtight container at room temp.
