Keto Mozzarella Sticks

Keto mozzarella sticks are such a delicious snack! Crispy on the outside, gooey and cheesy on the inside—without all the carbs. Here’s an easy recipe for making them at home:

Keto Mozzarella Sticks
Ingredients:
12 oz mozzarella cheese sticks (cut in half or thirds depending on your preferred size)
1 cup almond flour
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 large eggs
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp dried oregano (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Olive oil or avocado oil (for frying)
Instructions:
1. Prep the cheese:
Cut the mozzarella sticks in half or thirds if they’re not already in smaller pieces.
Freeze the mozzarella sticks for at least 30 minutes. This helps them hold their shape while frying and prevents the cheese from melting out.
2. Set up breading stations:
In one shallow bowl, whisk the eggs.
In another shallow bowl, combine the almond flour, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
3. Coat the mozzarella sticks:
Dip each frozen mozzarella stick into the egg mixture, coating it completely.
Next, roll it in the almond flour mixture until fully covered. You can repeat the egg and almond flour process for a thicker coating if desired.
4. Fry the mozzarella sticks:
Heat about 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil or avocado oil in a skillet over medium heat.
Once the oil is hot, fry the mozzarella sticks in batches for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy. Be sure to not overcrowd the pan to allow them to crisp up properly.
Watch closely so the cheese doesn’t start oozing out too much.
5. Drain and serve:
Place the fried mozzarella sticks on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Serve immediately with marinara sauce (make sure it’s low-carb) or ranch dressing for dipping!
