Meat and Cheese Stuffed Pasta Rolls

Prepare the filling: In a bowl, combine the minced meat, egg, grated cheese, salt, pepper, and minced garlic.
Roll out the dough on a work surface. Spread the meat mixture evenly, leaving a 1-2 cm border. Add the diced mozzarella to the meat (optional: add a teaspoon of tomato sauce for a more intense flavor).
Roll out the dough tightly, as shown in the top image. Cut them into 4-5 cm diameter rolls (like swirls) and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Brush them with egg yolk and bake in a preheated oven at 180-190°C (350-375°F) for 25-30 minutes, until golden brown.
Grate the cheese over the top during the last 5 minutes of baking for a golden, stringy finish, as shown in the final image.
