Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Grease a baking dish and set aside.

In a saucepan, heat the milk and butter until the butter melts. Let cool slightly.

In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, sugar, vanilla, and nutmeg.

Slowly add the warm milk mixture to the eggs, whisking constantly.

Add bread cubes and raisins to the bowl. Stir until the bread is well soaked.

Pour into the prepared baking dish.

Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until golden and set in the center.

While baking, prepare the vanilla sauce.

🍯 To Make the Vanilla Sauce:

In a small saucepan, combine sugar and cornstarch.

Stir in milk and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbling.

Remove from heat and stir in butter and vanilla.

Pour warm sauce over the bread pudding before serving.
