Continued on next page…
2 cups fresh blueberries
2 cups sliced apples (about 2 medium apples)
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
Directions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large bowl, combine the blueberries, apple slices, granulated sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Toss until the fruit is well coated.
Transfer the fruit mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
In another bowl, mix together the flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Pour the melted butter over the mixture and stir until crumbly.
Sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the fruit.
Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the fruit is bubbling.
Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm with your favorite accompaniment.
Variations & Tips

For a gluten-free version, substitute the all-purpose flour with almond flour or a gluten-free flour blend. If you prefer a nutty flavor, add a handful of chopped pecans or walnuts to the topping. You can also experiment with different fruits like raspberries or blackberries for a unique twist. For a less sweet version, reduce the amount of sugar or use a sugar substitute like honey or maple syrup.
