Philly Cheese Steak Sloppy Joes Recip

Step 1: Brown the Beef
Add ground beef to a large cast iron skillet and cook until a deep brown crust forms on about half of the beef before breaking it apart.

Step 2: Cook Vegetables
Remove beef (leave the fat in the pan). Add butter, diced onions, bell peppers, and minced mushrooms.
Cook, letting the veggies brown for 1–2 minutes before stirring, then again for another 1–2 minutes.

Step 3: Combine Beef and Veggies
Return the browned beef to the pan with the vegetables.

Step 4: Make Sauce
In a small cup, mix beef broth and cornstarch until smooth.
Add ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, and the beef broth/cornstarch mixture to the skillet.
Cook for 3–5 minutes until the sauce thickens and most of the mixture is no longer liquidy.

Step 5: Add Cheese
Turn off the heat and stir in the chopped Provolone cheese until melted.

Step 6: Serve
Serve the sloppy joe mixture on toasted brioche buns.

Enjoy your delicious Philly Cheese Steak Sloppy Joes!
