Step 1 – Prep Oven & Baking Sheet
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
Step 2 – Make the Coating
In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and chili powder.
Step 3 – Wrap the Tater Tots
Wrap each tater tot with half a slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.
Step 4 – Coat & Arrange
Roll the bacon-wrapped tater tot in the sugar-chili mixture until coated. Place on the prepared rack. Repeat with all tater tots.
Step 5 – Bake
Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the tots are golden brown.
Step 6 – Cool & Serve
Let cool slightly before serving warm.
