How to make puff pastry with custard and strawberries?
Start by preparing the custard. Heat the milk with the seeds, but do not boil. Mix the eggs and sugar with a spoon. Slowly add the milk and bring to the boil. Add the cornstarch and stir until thickened, which should only take a few minutes. Transfer the custard to a bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate.
Remove the dough from the refrigerator at least 15 minutes before using it. Cut the strawberries into small pieces and sprinkle with sugar. Unroll the pastry and prick it with a fork, fill with the custard, add the strawberries, and roll up. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake at 200°C (400°F) for 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool. The puff pastry with custard and strawberries is ready to serve.
