Slow Cooker Asian Beef Short Ribs

Tender, fall-off-the-bone short ribs braised in a savory-sweet Asian-inspired sauce. Perfect served over rice, noodles, or mashed potatoes.


Ingredients

For the ribs

  • 5–6 lbs beef short ribs (bone-in or boneless)

  • 2 tsp kosher salt

  • 1 tsp black pepper

  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour

  • 3 tbsp olive oil

For the sauce

  • 1 cup low-sodium soy sauce

  • 1 cup beef broth

  • 1/2 cup rice wine vinegar

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

  • 5 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated

  • 2 tbsp sesame oil

  • 2 tsp hot chili oil or 1 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

For serving

  • Cooked rice, noodles, or mashed potatoes

  • Sliced green onions
