So tasty! This instantly became a family fave!
Directions
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a small bowl, combine the salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Sprinkle the seasoning mix over both sides of the chicken breasts.
3. Place the seasoned chicken breasts on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle them with olive oil.
4. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
5. While the chicken is baking, prepare the hot honey glaze. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine honey, apple cider vinegar, hot sauce, soy sauce, and minced garlic. Stir well and bring to a simmer.
6. Let the glaze simmer gently for about 5 minutes, or until slightly thickened.
7. After the chicken has baked for 20 minutes, remove it from the oven and brush generously with the hot honey glaze.
8. Return the chicken to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the glaze is bubbly.
9. Remove from oven and let sit for 5 minutes before serving to allow the juices to redistribute.
Variations & Tips
For an extra kick, you can increase the hot sauce in the glaze, or add a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes. If you’re not a fan of too much heat, reduce the hot sauce and add a bit more honey. Another great variation is using bone-in chicken thighs or drumsticks; just adjust the cooking time accordingly for these larger pieces to ensure they are fully cooked.
