Supersoft onion meatloaf – so flavorful, tender, and aromatic that I have to make it twice a month! Once you’ve tried it, you’ll be in love forever.

Preparation:

Peel the onions, finely dice them, and sauté in butter until translucent. Set aside and let cool.

Soak the bread rolls in water, then squeeze them well (or use breadcrumbs instead).

Combine the ground meat with the onions, bread rolls, eggs, mustard, and spices. Knead well until fully mixed.

Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased baking dish.

Bake at 180 °C (top/bottom heat) for about 60 minutes – optionally, pour a little broth over it during the last 15 minutes for extra juiciness.

🍽️ Serving Tip:

Perfect with mashed potatoes, gravy, and red cabbage 🥔🍷

Or the classic way: with Spätzle and cream sauce

Also delicious the next day on bread – hot or cold! 😋

✨ A family favorite – hearty, flavorful, and super easy!
