Directions:
Step 1: Prepare the Butter Sauce
- In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, honey, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper until well combined. Set aside.
Step 2: Cook the Chicken
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Season the chicken breasts lightly with additional salt and pepper if desired.
- Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for 5-6 minutes per side , or until golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature of 165°F/75°C). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside on a plate.
Step 3: Make the Sauce
- Pour the chicken broth into the skillet, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan to incorporate the flavor.
- Stir in the prepared butter mixture, whisking constantly until the butter is melted and the sauce is smooth and slightly thickened.
Step 4: Coat the Chicken
- Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, turning them in the sauce to coat evenly.
- Let the chicken simmer in the sauce for 1-2 minutes to absorb the flavors.
Step 5: Garnish and Serve
- Transfer the chicken to a serving platter or individual plates.
- Spoon the remaining sauce over the chicken and garnish with chopped parsley.
- Serve hot with your favorite sides like mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, or crusty bread.
