This recipe is a MUST around the holidays, but I make it all year long

👩‍🍳 Instructions
Step 1: Preheat & Prep
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Step 2: Make the Caramel
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the sugar, stirring constantly until it dissolves into a smooth amber liquid.
Carefully add the butter and stir until fully melted and combined.
Slowly pour in the cream (it will bubble vigorously). Stir and bring to a boil for 1 minute.
Remove from heat and stir in the sea salt and vanilla.

Step 3: Arrange the Crackers
Lay the saltine crackers in a single layer across the prepared baking sheet, edge to edge.

Step 4: Add the Caramel
Pour the hot caramel over the crackers, spreading it evenly with a spatula so each cracker is coated.

Step 5: Bake
Place the pan in the oven and bake for 5–7 minutes, or until the caramel is bubbling and golden at the edges.

Step 6: Add the Chocolate
Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot caramel. Let them sit for a couple of minutes to melt from the residual heat.

Step 7: Spread & Sprinkle
Use a spatula to spread the melted chocolate into a smooth layer.
Finish with a light sprinkle of sea salt over the top.

Step 8: Cool & Break
Let the cracker toffee cool completely at room temperature or chill in the fridge until firm.
Once set, break into bite-sized pieces and enjoy!
