Woman Discovers Lost Engagement Ring 13 Years Later—On a Carrot

Surprisingly, this isn’t the only ring found on a carrot. In Sweden, Lena Paahlsson lost her wedding ring in 1995 while baking. After years of searching and even during kitchen renovations, she had given up hope.

Sixteen years later, while harvesting carrots in her garden, Lena discovered her white gold band, complete with seven diamonds, wrapped around a carrot. “The carrot was sprouting in the middle of the ring. It’s quite incredible,” her husband Ola shared. The couple suspected the ring had accidentally fallen into vegetable scraps, which were composted or fed to animals. Overjoyed by its return, Lena planned to resize the ring so she could wear it again.
