Instructions
-
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 12-cup muffin tin with cooking spray.
-
Prepare the Filling: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground meat and diced onion until the meat is browned and the onion is soft. Drain any excess fat. Stir in the marinara sauce, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Let the mixture simmer for 3-5 minutes. Remove from heat.
-
Assemble the First Layer: Gently press one wonton wrapper into the bottom of each prepared muffin cup, forming a base.
-
Layer the Ingredients: To each cup, add:
-
Layer 1: 1 teaspoon of ricotta cheese, spread slightly.
-
Layer 2: 1 tablespoon of the meat sauce.
-
Layer 3: A sprinkle of shredded mozzarella cheese.
-
-
Repeat the Layers: Place a second wonton wrapper on top of the mozzarella layer in each cup. Repeat the layering process: ricotta, meat sauce, and mozzarella.
-
Add Final Cheese: Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the tops of all the cups.
-
Bake: Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and golden brown, and the wonton edges are crisp.
-
Serve: Let the cups cool in the tin for 5 minutes before carefully removing them with a spoon or offset spatula. This allows them to set for easy handling. Serve warm and enjoy!
