Ingredients
For the Steak:
4 beef cube steaks
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 large eggs
1/4 cup milk
Vegetable oil, for frying
For the Cream Gravy:
3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups whole milk
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Steak
In a shallow dish, mix flour, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
In another bowl, whisk eggs and milk together.
Dip each cube steak first into the flour mixture, then the egg mixture, and again into the flour, pressing lightly to coat.
Step 2: Fry the Steak
Heat about 1/4 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Fry the steaks for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
Remove the steaks and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
Step 3: Make the Cream Gravy
In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
Stir in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes until lightly browned.
Gradually whisk in milk, scraping up any browned bits from the skillet.
Simmer until the gravy thickens, stirring frequently. Season with salt and pepper.
