Step 1: Cook the Linguine
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
 - Drain the pasta and set aside, reserving about ½ cup of pasta water for adjusting consistency later.
 
Step 2: Sear the Chicken
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the vegetable oil. Season the chicken pieces generously with salt and pepper.
 - Cook the chicken until golden brown and fully cooked through (about 5–7 minutes per side). Remove from the skillet and set aside.
