Soft Banana Bread with Pecans and Delicious Caramel Glaze

Ingredients:
* 3 ripe bananas (with lots of dark spots), mashed
* 120g melted butter (and cooled)
* 150g caster sugar
* 1 large egg
* 1 tsp vanilla extract
* 250g plain flour
* 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
* 1/2 tsp fine salt
* 100g pecans (or walnuts), roughly chopped
* Caramel sauce (ready-made or homemade) for the glaze
* Whole and chopped pecans for garnish
